Masked lapwing

It must be breeding time for the Masked Lapwing. For three days now, there is one very agitated bird squawking, day and night. It's not that annoying, even if it is consistently flying around our house. Are they looking for a nest? Angry that another male took his place? They do a funny mating dance, preferably on top of the roof, bobbing their heads up and own in turns. These birds always remind me of the french, looks like they're wearing a beret.
